Right People Group has been operating in the Norwegian market since 2017, providing specialized resources to a variety of organizations and businesses.  We are pleased to announce Joachim Birger Nilsen as our new Managing Director for Norway. Although our offices in Berlin and Copenhagen have previously handled the Norwegian market, Joachim will now work directly from Oslo.

Get to know Joachim better in this interview. 

Who are you and what has your time with us been like so far?

My name is Joachim Nilsen, I am 28 years old and I live in Oslo. I’m delighted to be on board the team at Right People Group and look forward to being part of the international and talented environment at the company.

Previously I have been a consultant myself so the opportunity to develop the Norwegian branch of the company is very exciting. The first couple of weeks have been quite intense but I have enjoyed it and have gained a lot of insight into different projects being carried out in Norway and in the other countries where we operate.

As Managing Director for our Norwegian market, what do you hope to accomplish?

In the long term, the goal is to position Right People Group as the preferred partner for both companies and independent contractors. We are easy to work with and we’re committed to our goal of delivering top consultants quickly at a fair price.

What are you most excited about in your role?

I have been welcomed to a company full of talented and passionate people so I am looking forward to working with everyone.

There are different kinds of challenges every day but I especially enjoy building relationships with different consultants and companies. I am fortunate to be given the opportunity with great support from an organization full of encouraging and motivating people.

Also, it’s a unique opportunity to be a part of the company’s big plans for the Norwegian market so there are definitely exciting times ahead.

Lastly, how do you like to spend your time when you're not working?

I have played chess since I was six years old and still play from time to time, so that takes up a fair bit of my spare time. Through chess, I have been able to travel quite a lot which I am looking forward to taking up again now that the pandemic is slowly letting go.

Also, I enjoy sports of all kinds and a nice run outdoors always feels great. Besides that, it’s the usual suspects as I enjoy watching TV and eating delicious food. However, I am probably the only Norwegian in history that has never tried skiing so I guess my personal goal for this year is pretty clear.
