Tell me who you are and what led you to Right People Group?

My name is Jens Nilsson, I started at Right People Group in May 2019. I am both the Consultant Manager for the Swedish market and Team Leader for our consultant marketplace Onsiter.com.

I have a background in Account Management, B2B sales and have started and managed my own company. What attracts me with Right People Group was the opportunity to develop and grow in a new role and industry.

It is through dialogue with our customers and consultants that we become a trusted partner throughout the whole project.

What, if any, are the principles you live after in your role as a consultant manager?

To me, it is essential that I always keep my promises and that I am available for my customers and consultants. I want to function as a sounding board where I challenge the customer with my expertise that makes us develop the customer’s organisation together.

What differentiates Right People Group from other IT consultant agencies? 

I would say that we really take more time to understand customers needs than other consultant agencies. With our knowledge, we can come up with unexpected solutions that the customer may not have thought of. It is through dialogue with our customers and consultants that we become a trusted partner throughout the whole project. 


Tell me about a recent project you worked on that illustrates your daily job.

Right now, I am helping a customer in the south of Sweden that have a specific need. It is a real challenge while the customer expects an expert that can come in and lift their organisation. I have continuous interviews with very experienced consultants who really can all contribute in their way. The challenge lies mainly in understanding who is best suited to the specific needs of the customer.

The best with my role is to get the chance to discuss very complex and abstract projects with our customers and consultants on a daily basis.

In the hunt for the right consultant for a specific project, what are the most important qualities and traits you look for?

It, of course, depends on the project. However, much is about having the right experience but also that the consultant fits into the customer’s organisation. The consultant must understand the customers need to be able to act accordingly. 


What is the best and the most challenging part of your job?

The best with my role is to get the chance to discuss very complex and abstract projects with our customers and consultants on a daily basis. The dialogue with our customers is always the most challenging and exciting. To make our customers happy, it really is about understanding their needs. 

What do you like about Right People Group, and what what motivates you to come to work every day?

We have a great corporate culture with a tremendously evolving environment where we always discuss and challenge each other’s ideas.

I am stimulated by the challenges I face every day, and it is exciting to follow the journey that we at Right People Group are doing, where we invest in new solutions for our customers.

Why did you choose to work in the IT industry?

It was a pretty obvious choice for me. We live in a world that is continuously being improved by the work in the IT industry, and I am incredibly grateful to have an insight into the projects carried out around Sweden.

What is your advice to someone who wants to work as a consultant manager at Right People Group?

Be humble and responsive from the beginning. It is impossible to understand precisely everything with IT from the first day. Listen as customers describe their needs around the projects and absorb as much knowledge as you can from our consultants. They are called experts for a reason.

How we select our consultants

We always run a broad process to make sure we find the best match in the market for your project – both in terms of skills and price. The consultant manager that you are in touch with at our company is also the one who runs the entire process of finding and selecting your candidates. All our consultant managers have higher education and are analytically skilled. This allows them to understand which role you are looking for and the technologies and skills involved, which is crucial for the ability to find a consultant that will generate the results you are looking for. We invest heavily in developing channels and methods that allow us to reach out to as many relevant consultants as possible and our procedure is highly efficient. The consultant manager selects the most qualified consultant for your task and takes an interview to also assess experience and personality in relation to your needs. Typically, we will get back to you within 1-3 days with 1-2 CVs together with an explanation of why we think the presented candidates would be a good fit for your project.
