    1. Open the invoice template on Google Sheets.
    2. Replace Consultancy name, Your consultancy’s physical address, Website, Phone number, and Email with the correct information.
    3. To add your logo, click on the logo image, then click on the three dots on the top right corner of the image. Select Replace image. Replace the image with your logo.
    4. Fill in the Date, Invoice number, Work order number and the customer’s information under “Bill to.”
    5. If you’re tracking billable hours, add the services you provided and your hourly rate. The Total amount will be automatically calculated.
    6. If you’re charging a flat rate, you can enter the service details in the second table instead (OTHER SERVICES AND CHARGES).
    7. Add the tax rate (if applicable). The total will be automatically calculated.
    8. Under “Other comments,” add any instructions for your client.
    9. Add the payment terms and payment details.

    There is a guide in green on the far right of the template. Don’t forget to delete that guide before sending the invoice to the client.

    Once you have completed the invoice, save the final invoice as a PDF. You can then email the PDF to the client.
