We are looking for a modern and experienced Java engineer to join a Guidewire development team—not in a traditional developer role, but as a driver of engineering excellence. The focus is on modernizing the team’s way of working, with emphasis on CI/CD, test automation, feature toggling, and sustainable development practices. You will write code, lead by example, and mentor the team in best practices.

You will help improve the development lifecycle, raise the squad’s technical maturity, and act as a bridge between the Engineering Excellence program and the team.

We believe you have:

• Strong experience in Java development
• Hands-on experience with test automation (unit, contract, integration, E2E)
• Proven ability to build and improve CI/CD pipelines
• Knowledge of feature toggling tools like LaunchDarkly
• Experience with Guidewire or Gosu (a plus)
• Familiarity with cloud, DevOps, and infrastructure as code
• Excellent communication and mentoring skills

• Improve architecture, observability, and error handling
• Enable safe, incremental deployments using feature toggling
• Mentor and support other developers through workshops and playbooks
