We are looking for experienced Mainframe Consultants for multiple roles with a client in Oslo

Are you an expert in mainframe technologies and passionate about complex systems, security, and automation? Our client works with some of the largest companies in the world and is currently undergoing a major modernization journey – and they need you!

The client is seeking several experienced consultants for various specialized roles within Mainframe z/OS administration and security.
 

Potential roles

Depending on your background and interests, you could be matched with one of the following consultant positions:

1. Senior Lead Mainframe zSecurity Systems Administrator (ACF2)
2. Mainframe zSecurity Systems Administrator (ACF2 and/or RACF)
3. Mainframe zOS-Automation Administrator
4. Mainframe zOS-ISV Products Administrator
5. Mainframe System Administrator zOS
    

Common across all roles

You will tackle complex technical challenges and play a key role in future-proofing the operations and security of some of the world’s most critical mainframe environments. You’ll be part of a global, collaborative team where knowledge sharing, innovation, and customer focus are at the core.
 

We’re looking for candidates who:

• Have at least 5 years of experience in one or more of the following areas:
  • Mainframe security (ACF2, RACF, Top Secret)
  • zOS automation (e.g., CA-OPS/MVS, Netview SA, REXX)
  • Installation and maintenance of ISV/IBM products
  • zOS system administration and product installation
• Have a solid understanding of z/OS and subsystems such as IMS, DB2, CICS
• Work in a structured manner and can navigate complex environments
• Communicate fluently in English (required)
• Are proactive in solving problems and sharing knowledge
   

Depending on your role, your tasks may include:

• Designing and implementing security policies and compliance reports
• Certificate management and security updates
• Developing and maintaining automation routines
• Installing and supporting mainframe ISV products
• Operating and maintaining z/OS systems, including SMP/e and ISHELL
   

It's a plus if you:

• Have experience with GDPR, HIPAA, SOX, or other regulatory frameworks
• Are familiar with GDPS, ITIL processes, and ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, SM9)
• Have experience coordinating or leading smaller projects, or hold relevant certifications

Location: 50% oslo 50% remote (but you must at all time be in Norway)
