In this role, you will collaborate closely with the infrastructure team to operate the data platform and deploy the latest data products. You will also carry out verification after deployments to reduce risks of system disruption, data loss, or security vulnerabilities — ensuring business continuity and high user satisfaction.
As a senior data engineer, you will handle data produced and consumed by the client in the European region. You’ll also guide stakeholders to access the data they need in a secure and efficient way.
The assignment requires solid experience in data warehousing and ETL processes, combined with basic knowledge of AWS and Azure cloud platforms and software testing.
We are looking for you who can:

• Automate and orchestrate data pipelines
• Build workflows for data cleansing, deduplication, and transformation
• Operate and maintain the data platform in collaboration with the infrastructure team
• Perform platform upgrade testing (regression, security, functional tests)
• Ensure data security, accuracy, completeness, and consistency
• Set up monitoring tools for pipelines, data quality, and system health
• Diagnose and resolve pipeline or integration issues
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define data models
• Provide technical guidance and support for data access
• Document pipelines, workflows, and architecture
• Design and maintain data models for BI and reporting
• Create simple dashboards using Power BI
Required qualifications:
• Team player with excellent communication skills
• At least 5 years of continuous experience in data engineering
• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Computer Science, Engineering, IT or equivalent
• Strong interest in big data and willingness to learn new technologies
• Solid understanding of data warehousing, ETL, DevOps, CI/CD, and software testing
• Proficiency in SQL or Python
• Experience with AWS (Redshift, EMR, S3) and Azure (Data Factory, Power BI service)
• Familiarity with Databricks or Snowflake is a plus
• Experience with data processing frameworks like Flink or Spark
• Skilled in Power BI for data analytics and visualization
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) is a plus
• Willingness to work onsite in Gothenburg at least 3 days/week
Personal attributes:
You are pragmatic, self-driven, and curious. You enjoy solving problems in environments where not everything is defined, and you approach challenges with a flexible, “we’ll find a way” attitude.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Able to work independently on product streams
• Comfortable in evolving and sometimes unclear situations
• Proactive and good at managing multiple tasks
• Team-oriented with a flexible mindset
