Meet Jesper Geisler, newly appointed Group CEO of Right People Group

We are excited to welcome our new Group CEO, Jesper Geisler, to the Right People Group family. 

With a solid background in founding companies (including Avenida Consult, recently acquired by Right People Group), Jesper brings extensive experience in entrepreneurship and strategic growth. His appointment as Group CEO of Right People Group heralds a promising new era of continued success and growth. 

In this interview, Jesper shares his professional journey, his aspirations for our company, and how his personal interests align with his approach to leadership. 

Let’s meet Jesper! 
 

1. Now that you’re part of the Right People Group family, could you share a little about your professional journey? What led you to the position of CEO of Right People Group? 
 

I have been self-employed for most of my professional life. In 2005, I co-founded a company with a partner that delivers managed services and outsourcing. This business was acquired in 2011 by a large Nordic IT infrastructure company, after which I continued in various roles within the acquiring company for the next four years. 

In 2015, I returned to entrepreneurship, launching a company that provided services and solutions within the "Application Performance Management" (APM) category. Three years later, that business was acquired by a Dutch private equity-owned company. 

During this ownership period, Avenida Consult was developed in parallel. In 2017, Avenida Consult was officially established and focused exclusively on high-end freelance consultants. 

By 2019, Avenida Consult became an independent company, and I dedicated all my time to this project alongside my excellent partners and co-owners, Lasse Hagelquist and Ulrik Calum. We experienced great success over the following years, and in April of this year, we accepted an offer from Capidea and Right People Group, becoming part of Right People Group.

I am deeply honored to have the opportunity to become the Group CEO of Right People Group, a company we have long regarded as "best in class" in our industry. I have tremendous respect for the business that Henrik Arent and Søren Rosenmeier, along with their talented team, have built over the past 17 years.
 

2. What aspects of your new role as CEO are you most excited about? 
 

Right People Group stands on an incredible platform, and the team is outstanding, with a unique sense of unity— across the different countries. We operate in an industry that, on the one hand, is highly competitive but, on the other, is experiencing almost continuous growth. I am very excited to be part of the journey to take Right People Group to the next level.

We will focus on growing the business organically and through additional acquisitions as we see significant consolidation potential in the industry. 

Additionally, we aim to further specialize in key sectors, allowing us to act as even more effective advisors to our clients, and to leverage the industry-specific knowledge we accumulate through our many successfully completed projects.
 

3. Where do you see Right People Group in the next five years?
 

In five years, we will have at least doubled our revenue and earnings. We will also have a much stronger presence, particularly in Northern Europe. 

Additionally, we will have moved further upmarket and will be increasingly regarded by our clients as a trusted advisor and partner with industry-specific knowledge, capable of positively impacting their business through our experience with other companies facing similar demands and challenges.
 

4. Outside of the office, what are some of your passions and hobbies? Do they have any influence on your approach to work?
 

I have three children and a wonderful wife, so most of my time is spent with them. My two sons are heavily involved in ice hockey, which takes up a lot of space in our family life. The people I work with are well aware of this, as I can't help but talk about ice hockey from time to time. 

I'm approaching 50 and do my best to stay in shape. However, I also consciously try to separate work from personal life. I believe it's important to unwind when you finally have time off, and that's something I encourage our employees to do as well.
