Consultant Task: Senior Test Manager – IT & Integration Quality Assurance
Location: Västerås (on-site 3–4 days per week)

About the Assignment:

A senior and proactive Test Manager with extensive experience leading testing efforts across multiple applications, platforms, and integrations in complex IT environments.

Not a software tester, but a strategic test leader with proven ability to define test approaches, challenge assumptions, and ensure quality across end-to-end deliveries.

Experienced in dynamic project settings where priorities evolve continuously, requiring adaptability, strong ownership, and an open mindset toward different technical solutions.

• Leading and coordinating test activities across applications and integrations

• Senior stakeholder communication and delivery assurance

• Risk-based testing, planning, and governance

• Driving continuous improvement and questioning established approaches

Testing Scope & Expertise

• Integration testing across systems and interfaces

• System, acceptance, regression, and end-to-end testing

• Test leadership within ongoing delivery processes

• Familiarity with various technologies and technical environments

Tools & Frameworks

• Azure DevOps, HP ALM, JIRA, TestRail

• Experience with automated test support (e.g., Selenium)

• Agile and hybrid delivery models: Scrum, SAFe, traditional project setups

Industry Experience

• Proven background in large-scale IT projects within industrial environments

• Additional experience from Telecom and other complex sectors

• Used to working with internal teams, external suppliers, and multi-vendor setups

Engagement & Availability

• Available for full-time engagement

• Consulting through own company, consultancy firm, or as a subcontractor
