Our client is seeking a Quotation Performance Consultant
Start Date: As soon as possible
End Date: 30 May 2026 (with possible extension)
Location: Oslo
Work Mode: The position is 100% (we offer some hybrid work but want the consultant to be working minimum 3 days per week in the local office)

We have identified a significant gap between expectations and reality in car quotation response times.
A key challenge is the lack of sufficient insight, data, and measurement across the different stages of the “processing chain.”
To effectively target improvement efforts, we need to understand where performance issues arise across the various components contributing to the quotation capability.
Intent
The purpose of this role is to improve instrumentation, measurement, and analysis of performance data within the quotation process.
The consultant will report to the Tribe Tech Lead and work closely with all relevant squads within the Tribe.
Responsibilities / Deliverables
Document and communicate the full quotation processing chain, clearly mapping applications and measurement points.
Establish telemetry data flow from relevant measurement points into a common data collection system.
Develop live performance metrics for sections of the processing chain to:
Enable target setting for relevant squads.
Measure and visualize improvements impacting end-to-end quotation response time.
Diagnose performance bottlenecks across the chain and provide recommendations for improvement.
Propose performance targets for each section of the processing chain.
Technical Knowledge and Experience
To be effective from day one, the ideal consultant should bring strong hands-on experience and understanding in the following areas:
.NET Ecosystem
Proven experience with .NET web applications, APIs, and backend services.
Familiarity with performance profiling and diagnostics in .NET environments.
Azure Infrastructure
Experience monitoring applications on Azure App Services and Windows Server VMs.
Telemetry & Observability
Strong knowledge of Azure Application Insights, including custom telemetry, performance counters, and distributed tracing.
Familiarity with OpenTelemetry standards and integration approaches for .NET applications.
Experience with Splunk for log analysis, including writing queries and building dashboards.
Performance Monitoring & Analysis
Ability to design and implement telemetry pipelines that feed into centralized monitoring systems.
Experience diagnosing performance bottlenecks across distributed systems.
Understanding of key performance indicators (KPIs) relevant to service responsiveness and throughput.
Data Visualization & Reporting
Basic familiarity with Power BI to understand how performance data is visualized (though another team member will support this area).
Ability to collaborate on defining metrics and visualizations that support decision-making.
Collaboration & Agile Delivery
Comfortable working across multiple squads in a Tribe setup.
Experience in agile environments, with a focus on iterative delivery and continuous improvement.
Location
The consultant should be based in Oslo, to ensure close collaboration with the Tribe Tech Lead and the Platform Squad already working on telemetry and observability .
Qualifications
Excellent communication skills.
Proven experience Performance consultant
Willingness to travel within the Nordic region if needed.
