Consultant Task – Hardware Designer, ATEX (Finland/Remote), published: 13.12.2024

We are looking for a hardware designer who has designed hardware in ATEX environments. Mere familiarity with the standard is not enough, the consultant must be able to demonstrate that he/she has experience in this area. The client in question makes different kinds of equipment for both industry and public authorities. Therefore relevant industry / standard experience in hardware design accounts for more than specific technologies.

This position can be done remotely, but from within Finnish borders. More information is available during the application process.

Requirements:
- Experience in hardware design
- Project experience from working with ATEX standards and directives in hardware
- CAD and PCB experience
Nice-to-have:
- Experience from different simulation and testing tools is seen as an advantage
- Understanding explosion-proof design techniques such as encapsulation and purging techniques (Ex m, Ex p) as well as know-how in intrinsic safety is seen as an advantage

Location: Finland (Can be done remotely within Finnish borders)
Workload: Fulltime, 100% allocation
