Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Mainframe Developer (or Lead) to strengthen the customer’s team in the banking industry. The role involves working on core banking systems and requires deep domain expertise in deposits, account transfers, real-time applications, and cash management/payments.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain mainframe-based banking applications
• Work with critical systems handling deposits, transfers, and payments
• Ensure performance, reliability, and scalability of real-time solutions
• Collaborate with other developers and stakeholders in the banking domain

Required Skills & Experience

• Senior-level experience in Mainframe development
• Strong knowledge of COBOL, JCL, SQL
• Experience with DL1 and DB2 databases
• Previous experience in the banking industry considered highly beneficial
• Excellent communication skills in Finnish and English
