On behalf of a private client, we are looking for an experienced Senior Remote Access Architect to support a critical cybersecurity initiative within their cybersecurity compliance programme. 

This programme leads their safeguarding responsibilities for NIS2 and NIS CAF Enhanced Profile and drive the organizational change and the gap remediation based on second line (Corporate Information Security) and first line (local controls) assessments, to ensure compliance.

A range of compliance gaps have been identified across the client’s business areas. A critical component is delivery of compliance-ready Identity & Access Management (IAM) capabilities (IGA, PAM, RBAC and 3rd party access/remote access) to their energy assets and Enterprise IT.  

To enable secure remote access to IAM solutions a migration from the current global Citrix solution to a new global RDS solution is required. This requires careful planning, execution and stakeholder alignment to ensure no operational interruptions and alignment on expectation.  

The architect will report to the IAM project manager and work alongside both the Identity Security team and the production IT team(s).

Your qualifications
The ideal candidate has strong experience with RDS and Citrix NetScaler, combined with solid stakeholder management skills and the ability to navigate complex organisational landscapes. Experience with architectural design, documentation, and working within critical infrastructure or highly regulated industries is highly valued.

The right candidate has experience in: 

1. Planning and execution: Experience in leading technical implementations, including planning and scoping 

2. Stakeholder Management: Solid stakeholder management competences and experience, with ability to navigate in complex stakeholder landscapes with many decision makers, as well as collaborate and build consensus among different stakeholder groups. 

3. Remote Desktop Service (RDS): Technical and senior experience with RDS solution, both from a high-level design perspective and configuration. 

4. Citrix Netscaler: Experience with Citrix Netscaler remote access solutions 

5. Design & documentation: Architectural design of remote access solutions, documentation and requirements gathering. 

Nice to have requirements: 

09. Sector expertise: Familiarity with the energy sector and its regulator, DCIS strategy or other critical sectors and an understanding of their unique cybersecurity challenges including the threat landscape, geo-political situation, and regulatory requirements.

10. Agile methodology: Knowledge and experience in applying agile project methodology to effectively manage and deliver complex projects.
