On behalf of a private sector client, we are looking for an experienced SAP Project Manager to lead an S/4HANA brownfield conversion programme.

For the past four years, the client has run a preparation programme ahead of an S/4HANA brownfield conversion scheduled for October 2027. By September 2026, an implementation partner will be onboarded to execute the conversion, and an internal programme organisation, combining internal IT, external consultants and business representatives, is being ramped up to work alongside the partner.

The consultant will lead the day-to-day management and delivery of the conversion programme, working closely with the implementation partner and coordinating across functional, technical and organisational change management tracks. The role reports to the Programme Director and involves close collaboration with senior executive stakeholders, covering scoping, planning and execution through to testing, cutover and hypercare. Responsibilities also include establishing governance, RAID and risk, issue and change control, tracking budget and reporting status to the Programme Director and Steering Committee, and ensuring operational readiness, support model, hypercare and knowledge transfer ahead of go-live.

Your qualifications
We are looking for a consultant with the following qualifications:

• 15+ years of SAP project management experience with a track record of delivering complex programmes; S/4HANA brownfield experience is an advantage
• Solid understanding of S/4HANA architecture, cutover strategies and integrations, ideally combined with familiarity with SAP Activate
• Proven ability to lead multi-track projects at pace in an agile setup, applying Agile/Scrum and Scaled Agile methodologies
• Strong governance skills, comfortable with RAID, risk and issue management, change control and budget tracking, supported by modern PMO tools
• Clear, confident communicator able to engage senior stakeholders and inspire a team
• Background in an SAP module or SAP product
