On behalf of a Banking client, we are looking for two experienced Senior Mainframe Developers to join the post-trade area, where the work centres on securities, investment and settlement.

The consultants will develop in COBOL, JCL, DB2 and CICS, and will be the ones who dig into abends and performance issues when they occur. Alongside the hands-on development, the role involves turning functional and non-functional requirements into working system behaviour, coordinating planned activities with the right people and documenting specifications and decisions along the way.

We are looking for a curious and proactive consultant who understands banking operations and the regulatory side of securities, communicates clearly with both developers and business users, and is comfortable working in a changing environment.

Your qualifications

• Solid experience with Enterprise COBOL and JCL
• Experience with DB2 for z/OS, including SQL and performance tuning
• Experience with CICS, including COBOL-CICS programming, and IBM MQ
• Experience with abend analysis, SYSUDUMP/CEEDUMP, Debug Tool and Fault Analyzer
• Understanding of banking operations, securities and regulatory requirements
• Strong communication, coordination and documentation skills
