For an international pharmaceutical company, we are looking for a Senior Software Engineer for a strategic digitalisation initiative focused on building and evolving business-critical digital products.

The assignment centres on developing next-generation digital architecture with strong emphasis on scalability, performance, and continuous delivery within complex distributed system landscapes.

Project Description

The consultant will join an agile development team and play a key role in shaping, designing and implementing digital solutions that deliver measurable business value – both locally and globally.

The role spans architecture, development and DevOps, combined with close collaboration with Product Owners and business stakeholders. The solutions must support large datasets, high user volumes and complex integrations across enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, deploy and maintain digital products with focus on scalable and future-proof architecture
- Backend development in C#/.NET within large, complex distributed systems (high performance / low latency)
- Frontend development using Vue, React or Angular

- Strong knowledge of JavaScript, Node.js, HTML, CSS and SQL

- Design and development of APIs and integration services

- Apply agile engineering practices (Scrum), including TDD and DDD principles

- Optimize performance in browser-based applications

- Work with asynchronous and multi-threaded code

- Contribute to DevOps, CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git or similar)

- Collaborate closely with Product Owners and Line of Business stakeholders to ensure fit-for-purpose solutions

- Drive technology adoption and contribute to evolving agile practices

- Support knowledge sharing and help strengthen software engineering capabilities across teams

- Mentor and coach junior colleagues

Your qualifications
We are looking for a consultant with as many of the following competencies:

- +5 years of experience with C#/.NET development in large, complex backend systems
- 3+ years of software development experience in agile/Scrum environments
- Minimum 2 years of experience with Vue, React or Angular

- Strong knowledge of JavaScript, Node.js, HTML, CSS and SQL

- Experience designing and building APIs

- Solid understanding of architecture, DevOps and continuous delivery

- Experience working with distributed architectures, large datasets and systems with 100K+ users

- Experience with asynchronous and multi-threaded programming

- Hands-on experience with TDD and DDD

- Experience with Git or similar SCM tools

- Experience from regulated environments (Pharma, GxP, GDPR) is an advantage

- Strong communication skills in English and ability to work with global stakeholders
