About the assignment:
We are looking for a senior Technical Lead / Solution Architect to take ownership of the Self Service & Automation workstream within a large-scale HPC program.

In this role, you will be responsible for driving the workstream end-to-end – from requirements and design to implementation, testing, and handover. You will act as the go-to technical authority, ensuring alignment across multiple workstreams while maintaining high quality in architecture, delivery, and documentation.

The role is both strategic and hands-on, requiring strong leadership, technical depth, and the ability to operate in complex, high-availability environments.
 

We are looking for someone who:

• Has 8+ years of experience as a Solution Architect or Technical Lead

• Has strong experience within automation and self-service platforms

• Is hands-on with IaC tools such as Terraform and Ansible

• Has experience with orchestration tools like OpenShift, Jenkins or GitLab CI

• Has strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, APIs)

• Has worked with monitoring/observability tools such as Grafana and Prometheus

• Has experience producing HLDs, LLDs and test documentation

• Is comfortable leading technical teams and coaching engineers

• Has strong stakeholder management and communication skills

• Has experience working in complex enterprise or large-scale environments
 

Nice to have:

• Experience from HPC or large-scale compute environments

• Familiarity with FinOps and cost monitoring/dashboarding

• Experience with cross-workstream integrations and architectural governance

• Experience with data ingestion flows and logistics design
 

Key responsibilities:

• Own the workstream end-to-end (requirements, design, delivery, validation)

• Define and manage self-service and automation use cases

• Produce and maintain HLDs, LLDs, test scripts, and documentation

• Drive design reviews and ensure quality across deliverables

• Support implementation and act as technical advisor and coach

• Lead monitoring and observability design (Grafana, metrics, integrations)

• Align with other workstreams and define integrations and dependencies

• Support migration planning and data ingestion flows

• Engage with stakeholders through workshops, demos, and presentations

• Report progress, risks, and resource needs to program leadership
