On behalf of a private sector client, we are looking for an experienced Delivery Lead / Project Manager to take over a business-critical investment management implementation project from its current mid-project stage through to go-live and transition to operations.

The project involves replacing a legacy investment management system with a new standard software platform. The consultant will take over an ongoing implementation and drive it through configuration, testing, data migration, cutover, hypercare and handover to business-as-usual. The role sits at the centre of a cross-functional effort spanning business stakeholders, architecture, testing, data and an external delivery vendor, and includes managing risks and issues, preparing decisions for senior stakeholders, and steering the project toward a controlled go-live.

We are looking for a consultant with direct, documented experience leading business implementation projects for new standard software, ideally combined with relevant industry experience from finance, insurance or pension. The right consultant combines strong planning discipline with the ability to manage vendor delivery, coordinate testing and readiness activities, and communicate clearly with senior stakeholders under pressure.

Your qualifications
We are looking for a consultant with the following qualifications:

• Direct, documented experience as project manager / delivery lead on business implementation of new standard software
• Experience driving implementation projects through testing (system, integration, UAT), data migration, cutover and hypercare
• Experience coordinating delivery across business, architecture, data and vendor teams
• Strong risk, issue and dependency management skills, including escalation through governance forums
• Commercial and vendor management awareness, able to challenge timelines and delivery commitments

Relevant industry experience from finance, insurance or pension is an advantage
