Azure Files / Storage Mover Specialist

We are currently looking for an experienced Azure Files / Storage Mover Specialist for an immediate-start assignment.

Assignment Details

• Start: ASAP
• Duration: Initial 2-month contract, with possible extension based on project needs
• Location: Remote
• Time Zone: European working hours
• Workload: Full-time

Required Skills and Experience

The consultant should have strong hands-on experience and be able to work independently within the following areas:

• Azure Files (Classic Shares)
• Azure Storage Accounts, including both:
  • Public Endpoints
  • Private Endpoints
• Azure Service Principals and a solid understanding of their purpose and usage
• Azure Storage Mover:
  • Configuration
  • Monitoring
  • Troubleshooting
  • Experience with Azure File Sync is considered an advantage as an alternative background
• Entra ID-based Share Level Permissions on Azure Files
• Kerberos authentication options within Azure environments

Key Requirements

The ideal consultant should:

• Have proven practical experience from similar Azure migration and file services projects
• Be capable of working independently without significant onboarding or training
• Demonstrate strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Handle sensitive customer data with the highest level of professionalism and security awareness
• Understand best practices for preventing unauthorized access and accidental data exposure

Nice to Have

• Experience deploying or supporting Azure Storage Mover appliances
• Previous experience with complex file migration projects involving on-premises and Azure environments
