Consultant Task – Teradata Expert (Remote from within the Nordics), published: 29.11.2024

We are looking for a Teradata expert. The customer needs help with their Teradata implementation to transfer data. 

This position can be done remotely, but the client is preferring candidates from the Nordics as some traveling in Finland and Sweden is to be expected during the assignment.

Responsibilities:
- Design and develop efficient data models and database solutions on the Teradata platform.
- Write complex SQL queries for data manipulation and retrieval.
- Optimize database performance and ensure data integrity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and provide database solutions.
- Perform database maintenance, migration, and upgrade tasks.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues.
- Develop and maintain documentation for database solutions and best practices.
- Assist in data analysis and generating reports from Teradata databases.

Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience in Teradata development.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and experience in writing complex SQL queries.
- Proficiency in data modeling and database design.
- Familiarity with Teradata tools and utilities such as BTEQ, FastLoad, MultiLoad, TPT, and QueryGrid.
- Experience with ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Familiarity with other databases and BI tools is a plus.

Location: Remote (Location preference: the Nordics)
